CALL TO ORDER <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br />6. Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Council Members Galvan, Glaze, Loeffler, Polvorosa, Young; <br />Mayor Corbett <br />ABSENT: Council Member Lothrop <br />2. PRESENTATIONS <br />None <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />None <br />4. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. The public is invited <br />to make any comments related to Agenda items, or other items of public <br />interest, at this time. <br />A. John Faria, 2410 Lakeview Drive, asked the Council to address the issue <br />of when the next City Council election will be held. He feels the <br />Council should take action before they recess for the month of July. He <br />further stated that the Council should make it clear as to when the next <br />election will take place so that if a person wished to start an <br />initiative process, the dates and deadlines to make the next election <br />would be clear. Although he would prefer an April election, given that <br />would be a non-partisan date, he understood the concerns Council has <br />with regard to cost savings by consolidating with the County. He does <br />not care what decision the Council makes, just that a decision is made <br />soon. Mr. Faria also expressed concern with the required language <br />translations for the ballot and sample ballot. He requested the City <br />look into what the costs were regarding language translations for the <br />
