,, r <br />AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT AGREEMENT (CIP) FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999-2000 BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND ALLIED HOUSING, INC. <br />THIS AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is made at San Leandro, California, as of June <br />2, 2003, by and between the CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, (the "City"), and Allied Housing, Inc., <br />a California non-profit corporation ("Recipient"). <br />This Amendment is made in contemplation of the following facts, understandings and <br />intentions of the parties: <br />A. On March 20, 2000, the City and Recipient entered into an Agreement <br />("Agreement") pertaining to the acquisition of property located at 22198 & 22200 Center Street, <br />Castro Valley, California, to be used to create 28 new construction units of affordable and <br />supportive housing to serve the long-term housing, health and social services needs of 28 <br />homeless and disabled families and individuals for Mid- and Southern Alameda County, <br />including the City of San Leandro, for the Housing Alliance Project, with an amount certain <br />($50,000), as agreed to in said Agreement. <br />B. The City desires to amend the Agreement to provide HOME funds for the <br />construction of the Housing Alliance Project and to correspondingly increase the total amount of <br />payment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: <br />1. EXHIBIT A, Scope of Service, shall be amended as follows: <br />11. The allocation of HOME funds in the amount of $250,000 shall be used for <br />the construction of the Housing Alliance project to be located at 22198 & <br />22200 Center Street, Castro Valley. <br />16. Allied Housing, Inc, will coordinate plaeemerit and service efforts with <br />referring agencies located in San Leandro, including Building Futures with <br />Women and Children, to ensure that placement and services are provided to <br />eligible San Leandro residents. To the extenf permitted by law, Allied <br />Housing will give priority in renting eight units to families leaving the San <br />Leandro BFWC shelter. City staff will monitor the development to ensure <br />this priority system is in place and working. <br />2. EXHIBIT B, Payment Schedule, shall be amended as follows: <br />"City shall pay Recipient an additional Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars <br />($250,000) for construction pursuant to this Agreement." <br />3. In all other aspects the Agreement is hereby ratified, confirmed and shall continue <br />in full force and effect. <br />
