Hollister <br />City Manager <br />MATTER OF PROCESS FOR DETERMINING A RECOMMENDATION FROM THE <br />RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION TO THE CITY COUNCIL REGARDING THE <br />ALLOCATION OF MEASURE WW AND PARK DEVELOPMENT FEE FUNDS <br />SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff requests approval to move forward as outlined by the Recreation and Parks Commission. <br />BACKGROUND <br />At the City Council Work Session on Monday, September 14, 2009 the City Council directed the <br />Recreation and Parks Commission (RAPC) to determine a recommendation which included <br />public input for the use of Measure WW and Park Development Fee funds and forward it to the <br />City Council. <br />At the Recreation and Parks Commission regular meeting on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 the <br />following process was outlined and requested to be reported to the City Council: <br />Goals: <br />• Provide opportunity for public input <br />• Forward a recommendation to City Council for the allocation of Measure WW and Park <br />Development Fee funds <br />Evaluation Criteria: <br />• Location: Determine who benefits from the location; city wide benefit, neighborhood <br />benefit or special group benefit. Distribute projects throughout the community. <br />• Maintenance: Does the project maintain, increase or decrease the cost of maintenance? <br />• Benefit/Loss: What is the impact either way of doing it or not? <br />+ Other Revenue Sources: Are there other revenue sources available for the project? <br />Process: <br />RAPC meeting November 4 -List of projects is distributed to RAPC and Public. <br />Engineering and Public Works staff will be there to answer questions, clarify <br />Public Workshops -Saturday, November 7, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. and Tuesday, November 10, <br />from 7 p.m. - 10 p.rn., at the Marina Community Center. The goal of the Public <br />
