CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br />Councilmember Prola led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />B. Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Members Gregory, Prola, Reed (arrived at 7:05 p.m.), Souza, Starosciak, <br />Stephens (amved at 7:20 p.m.); Mayor Santos <br />ABSENT: None <br />C. Announcements <br />Mayor Santos requested that members of the public wishing to address the Council fill <br />out a speaker card and submit it to the City Clerk prior to the announcement of the item <br />on which they wish to speak. <br />2. PRESENTATIONS/ RECOGNITIONS <br />A. Proclamation Declaring May 7-16, 2010 as Affordable Housing Week in San Leandro. <br />Woody Karp, Senior Project Developer for Eden Housing, accepted the Affordable <br />Housing Week proclamation presented by Mayor Santos. Mr. Karp announced the <br />opening of Estabrook Place, the new green affordable senior housing development at <br />the corner of Estabrook and East 14th Streets, and invited the City Council to attend a <br />tour of the facility on Friday, May 14th <br />B. Proclamation Declaring May 7, 2010 as Child Hunger Ends Here Day in San Leandro. <br />
