z~ <br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001- 12 (1925/1980/2575) <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF A CLAIM WITH THE <br />METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION (MTC) FOR REALLOCATION OF <br />TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT (TDA) ARTICLE 3 FUNDS FOR <br />FISCAL YEAR 2001-2002 AND TO APPROPRIATE $68,236 OF <br />DEVELOPMENT FEES FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS (DFSI) FUNDS <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (TDA) provides for disbursement of <br />funds from the Local Transportation Fund of the County of Alameda for use by eligible <br />claimants for the purpose of pedestrian and/or bicycle projects; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Transportation Development Act and <br />pursuant to the applicable rules and regulations thereunder, a prospective claimant wishing to <br />receive an allocation from the Local Transportation Fund shall file its claim with the <br />Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro is an eligible claimant for TDA funds pursuant to <br />PUC Section 99234; and <br />WHEREAS, TDA funds from the Local Transportation Fund of Alameda County will be <br />required by claimant for Fiscal Year 2001-2002 for the installation and design of bike routes and <br />bike lanes; and <br />WHEREAS, Development Fees for Street Improvements (DFSI) funds have been paid by <br />developers to be used for traffic improvements throughout the City. <br />The installation of bicycle and pedestrian improvements throughout the City are <br />consistent with previous uses of DFSI funds. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />
