Commendations for Contributions to the Pedestrian Safety Program: <br /> Bayfair Mall; San Leandro Hospital Senior Friends; COSTCO; San Leandro <br /> Towing; Moeller Brothers Body Shop; Automotive Service Councils, <br /> Chapter 16, East Bay; Eric Reyes; Bonnie Rembert; Officer Robert Cach; <br /> Officer Kirby Wong; and Officer Robert Dekas. <br /> Mayor Corbett said it was a pleasure to honor those involved in the <br /> Pedestrian Safety Program. Kathy Ornelas, Community Relations <br /> Representative, said the Pedestrian Safety Task Force's goal was to <br /> heighten public awareness and provide education about pedestrian and <br /> bicyclist safety. She said the program included activities related to <br /> DARE, bicycle rodeos, banners, signs, and articles. <br /> Mayor Corbett read and presented the Commendations. <br />
