IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2000 - 010 (1120/1313-B) <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 15 TO THE <br /> PLAZA 2 REDEVELOPMENT PLAN <br /> TO EXTEND TILE TIME LIMIT FOR THE EXERCISE OF THE POWER OF EMINENT <br /> DOMAIN <br /> AND TO MERGE THE PLAZA 2 PROJECT AREA WITH THE PLAZA 1 PROJECT AREA <br /> RECITALS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro adopted the Redevelopment Plan (hereinafter <br /> "Plan ") for the Plaza 1 Redevelopment Project Area (hereinafter "Project Area "). Said plan was <br /> amended by ordinance fourteen times; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Plan was amended by Ordinance Nos. 71 -28, 74 -14, 79 -39, 81 -019, 82- <br /> 093, 83 -026, 85 -049, 86 -039, 88 -013, 94 -019, 94 -029, 95 -05, 95 -06, and 97 -025; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro held a public hearing on May <br /> 15, 2000, to consider an amendment to the Redevelopment Plan to extend the power of eminent <br /> domain for nine years to the year 2009 and to consider an amendment to the Redevelopment Plan <br /> to merge the Plaza 1 and Plaza 2 Redevelopment Project Areas into one Project Area known as <br /> the Plaza Redevelopment Project Area; and <br /> WHEREAS, notice of the hearing was published in a newspaper of general circulation in <br /> Alameda County in accordance with Health and Safety Code Sections 33349(a) and 33361, and a <br /> copy of such notice and affidavit of publication are on file with the City Clerk and Secretary of <br /> the Agency; and <br /> WI-IEREAS, in accordance with Health and Safety Code Section 33349(b) notice of the <br /> Hearing was sent by first class mail to the last -known assessee of each parcel of land in the <br /> Project Area to the last known address of each addressee, as shown on the last equalized <br /> assessment roll of Alameda County on April 14, 2000; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Health and Safety Code Section 33349(c) notice of the <br /> Hearing was sent by first class mail to all residents and businesses within the Project Area at <br /> least thirty days prior to the Hearing, on April 14, 2000; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Health and Safety Code Section 33350, each assessee <br /> whose property would be subject to acquisition by purchase or condemnation under the <br /> Redevelopment Plan was sent a statement to that effect included in the notice of the hearing; and <br /> 1 <br />
