IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2000- 011 (1092/1385) <br /> AN URGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE <br /> CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE CALIFORNIA <br /> PULIC EMPLOYEE'S RETIREMENT SYSTEM AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND DECLARING THIS ORDINANCE TO BE AN <br /> URGENCY MEASURE TO TAKE EFFECT MAY 16, 2000 BECAUSE IT IS COVERED <br /> BY PARTICULAR PROVISIONS OF LAW PRESCRIBING THE MANNER OF ITS <br /> PASSAGE AND ADOPTION AND BECAUSE IT IS NECESSARY FOR THE <br /> PRESERVATION OF PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH AND SAFETY <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as follows: <br /> Section 1. An amendment to the contract between the City Council of the City of <br /> San Leandro and the Board of Administration of the California Public Employees' <br /> Retirement System is hereby approved, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, <br /> marked Exhibit, and by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full <br /> Section 2. The City Manager of the City of San Leandro is hereby authorized, <br /> empowered, and directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf of said City. <br /> Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an urgency ordinance <br /> pursuant to § 1 -1 -345 of the San Leandro Municipal Code and shall take effect on May 16, <br /> 2000, because it is covered by particular provisions of the law prescribing the manner of its <br />
