N THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> ORDNANCE NO. 2000 - 013 (1092/1385) <br /> A.N URGENCY ORDNANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE <br /> CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE <br /> CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM AND <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND DECLARING THIS <br /> ORDNANCE TO BE AN URGENCY MEASURE TO TAKE EFFECT JUNE 6, 2000 <br /> BECAUSE IT IS COVERED BY PARTICULAR PROVISIONS OF THE LAW <br /> PRESCRIBNG THE VLAiNNER OF ITS PASSAGE AND ADOPTION AND BECAUSE <br /> IT IS NECESSARY TO THE PRESERVATION OF PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH AND <br /> SAFETY <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as follows: <br /> Section 1. An amendment to the contract between the City Council of the City of <br /> San Leandro and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees' Retirement <br /> System is hereby authorized, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked <br /> Exhibit, and by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. <br /> Section 2. The City Manager of the City of San Leandro is hereby authorized, <br /> empowered, and directed to execute said amendment for and of behalf of said Agency. <br /> Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an urgency ordinance pursuant <br /> to § 1 -1 -345 of the San Leandro Municipal Code and shall take effect on June 6, 2000, <br /> because it is covered by particular provisions of the law prescribing the manner of its passage <br />
