Discussion Regarding Selection of Committee Chairperson <br /> Councilmember Starosciak nominated Councilmember Prola as the Shoreline - Marina Committee <br /> Chairperson and Councilmember Souza seconded the motion. Councilmember Prola accepted <br /> the nomination and was appointed Chairperson. <br /> 1. Discussion of Mayoral Request to Appoint Additional Members to the Shoreline <br /> Development Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC). <br /> City Manager Hollister and Business Development Manager Battenberg gave a summary of the <br /> Shoreline CAC appointment process and the Mayor's request to the Committee to add four new <br /> members - three Mayoral appointments and one appointment by the new District 5 <br /> Councilmember. <br /> Gerd Marggraff, Mulford Garden resident, stated that he did not see any benefits for new persons <br /> appointed to the CAC now that it seems near the end of the review process for the Shoreline <br /> master plan. Al Frates and Audrey Albers, CAC members, concurred. <br /> Councilmember Starosciak explained that the previous City Council did not make the <br /> appointments to the CAC, instead the Shoreline - Marina Committee formed a Selection Committee <br />
