Self Introductions <br /> Members of the Disaster Council introduced themselves and the agencies they represent. <br /> 2. Overview of Emergency Operations Center in the Senior Community Center <br /> Kathy Ornelas gave an overview of the layout of the Senior Community Center as it will be <br /> organized when functioning as the City's Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Plans are in <br /> discussion regarding having an all -hands exercise in the coming months to allow all EOC <br /> personnel to demonstrate in real -time how long it would take to activate the EOC should a <br /> disaster occur. <br /> 3. Discussion Regarding Establishing Emergency Shelters at School Sites <br /> Kathy Ornelas led off the discussion among the agencies to determine what protocols will be <br /> followed when the City needs to establish an emergency shelter facility at a school. It is <br /> understood that schools will not become available as shelters until all students have left the <br />
