Hollister <br />City Manager <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT AGREEMENT NO. 019 -N TO <br />ADMINISTERING AGENCY -STATE AGREEMENT NO. 04 -5041R TO ACCEPT FEDERAL <br />FUNDS FOR THE MARINA BOULEVARD STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT, <br />PROJECT NO. 150 -38 -329, FEDERAL -AID PROJECT NO. STPL -5041 (037). <br />SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION <br />The project will utilize Congestion Management Agency Block Grant funds to rehabilitate the <br />sections of Marina Boulevard between Teagarden Street and Alvarado Street and between San <br />Leandro Boulevard and Washington Avenue. <br />Staff recommends approval of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute the Program <br />Supplement Agreement that accepts federal funding and obligates the City to complete the <br />proj ect. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The construction of the subject project will largely be funded through the Alameda County <br />Congestion Management Agency (CMA) Block Grant Program (Program). The Program <br />provides funds as part of Cycle 1 of the new Federal Transportation Act (FTA). The City <br />received $807,000 in Local Streets and Roads grant funding for the subject project, which <br />requires an 11.47% local funding match. <br />Staff recommended the subject street sections based on the following: 1) the street being on the <br />City's Federal funding eligibility network; 2) recommendations from the City's Pavement <br />Management System; 3) engineering considerations; and 4) the amount of Program funds <br />available. <br />
