Review of Status Report from Airport Master Plan Process <br /> Kathy Omelas reported that the Master Plan Stakeholder Committee will be having an open <br /> house on March 9. The purpose is to provide the community with an update on the master <br /> plan process. <br /> Committee Members had no additional comments about the Master Plan Progress Report but <br /> will provide those items to staff that should be discussed with the Port Aviation Committee. <br /> 2. North Field Croup, South Field Group and Master Plan Committee Reports <br /> • Discussion Regarding Appointments to North Field and South Field Groups <br /> Kathy Ornelas reported on a recent meeting with the North Field Group and the opportunity <br /> to meet the new manager of the helicopter flight school that has moved to the North Field. <br /> Silver State Helicopters has made a commitment to be sensitive to neighborhoods and other <br /> noise sensitive areas near the airport. They intend to do most of their training in outlying <br /> areas, away from the heavy air traffic around the airport. When they expand to provide <br /> helicopter tour services, the FAA will direct them to use freeways and other industrial routes <br /> until they are away from neighborhoods. <br />
