Update on Airport Noise Insulation Program <br /> Kathy Omelas and William Schock gave a report on the progress of the program. Following <br /> the first community information meeting on the program, suggestions were taken as to ways <br /> to make the second meeting more efficient. Those suggestions will be incorporated into the <br /> community information meeting on July 7. At the Committee's recommendation, staff will <br /> • take notes of the questions residents are asking during the meeting. <br /> There had been a suggestion that the program participants be selected by longevity in the <br /> neighborhood versus a lottery. However, because the lottery system has already been <br /> advertised and approved by the City Council, staff has recommended staying with the lottery <br /> system. The Committee agreed. <br /> Committee Recommendation <br /> None <br /> 2. Request for Agenda Items for the Upcoming Meeting with the Port of Oakland Aviation <br /> Committee <br /> The second meeting between the City Council Airport Committee and the Port's Aviation <br /> Committee is scheduled for Monday, September 27. <br />
