ROLL CALL <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Galvan, Kerr, Loeffler, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Corbett <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 4. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. The public is invited <br /> to make any comments related to Agenda items or other items of public <br /> interest at this time. Comments regarding Public Hearing items will be <br /> heard during the Public Hearing portion of the Agenda. <br /> A. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, said it is difficult for the <br /> public to communicate with the City Council and to seek or gather <br /> information. <br /> B. Dana Johnson, 343 Farrelly Drive, spoke in opposition to consolidation <br /> of the City's Fire Department with Alameda County. He asked if the <br /> City would consolidate Police or Public Works with the County if there <br /> were a savings involved. He said no one believes the Fire Department <br /> will just come back under City control if it does not work out. <br /> C. Lee Ness, 2321 Belvedere Avenue, spoke in favor of Fire Department <br /> consolidation. He said the guarantees in the contract are more than <br /> adequate. He said he doesn't know where the City is going to find $1 <br /> million if they don't sign the contract, and it is in the best <br /> interests of the City. <br />
