Capital Improvement Project (CIP) Program Review. This will be the <br /> first in a series of monthly updates on the CIP Program. <br /> 8:00 P.M. REGULAR MEETING -- Community Library Center, Lecture Hall <br /> 300 Estudillo Avenue <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br /> 3. ROLL CALL <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Galvan, Kerr, Loeffler, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Corbett <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 4. PRESENTATIONS <br /> A. Presentation of Check to the City by the San Leandro Optimist Club for <br /> Teen Programs ($184.00) and to Help Defray Costs for the Shoreline Run <br /> ($1,000.00) . <br /> Harold Kitzmann presented the checks. Mayor Corbett and the City <br /> Council thanked the Optimist Club for the thousands of dollars and time <br /> and effort the Club has devoted to youth in the community. <br /> 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. The public is invited <br /> to make any comments related to Agenda items (including San Leandro <br /> Redevelopment Agency, San Leandro Parking Authority, and San Leandro <br /> Industrial Development Authority) or other items of public interest at this <br /> time. Comments regarding Public Hearing items will be heard during the <br /> Public Hearing portion of the Agenda. <br /> A. Jane Hudson, 834 Juana Avenue, said the Council does not do enough for <br /> youth and should spend the money for the creek bench on purchasing <br /> property to use for youth activities; car thefts have increased <br /> substantially, particularly in the BART parking lot, and the Mayor <br /> should have BART patrol their lot; and the City should pave Juana <br /> Avenue, not Valita Street, because Juana is a thoroughfare. <br />
