Presentation to Joe Collier Commending Him for 25 Years' Dedicated
Service to the Babe Ruth Baseball League.
The City Clerk read the Commendation, thanking Mr. Collier for his many
years of service to the Babe Ruth Baseball League and to youth sports.
Mr. Collier said this was an honor he will long remember. He said it
means more to him than any other award he has received because it comes
from the people he represented who played baseball in San Leandro. He
said being involved in the League has been one of the greatest joys of
his life. He thanked the City Council and Mayor Faria. He said he
wished more people would get involved with our youth because they are
where we are going to entrust our City a few years down the road. He
said involvement in sports helps youth gain a greater understanding of
how to handle problems throughout their lives.
5. PUBLIC COMMENTS Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per person.
A. Larry Norry said the July 6th Minutes should have commented that Lou
Filipovich was told he could not speak on the subject of the Waste
Water Fees because the Hearing was closed. Mr. Norry said the June 14
Minutes indicated the Hearing was closed except for the Resolution
related to Waste Water.
Steve Meyers, City Attorney, said the Hearing has now been closed, but
comments could be accepted at this time.
