MINUTES <br /> SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> FEBRUARY 7, 1994 <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro met in Regular Session in the City <br /> Council Chambers of the City Hall on the above date at 8:00 p.m. , Mayor Faria <br /> presiding. <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br /> 3. ROLL CALL <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Corbett, Myers, Nahm, Perry; Mayor Faria <br /> ABSENT: Council Members Kerr and Polvorosa <br /> 4. PRESENTATIONS <br /> None <br /> 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per person. <br /> A. Ted Lastiri , said mobilehome owners are trying to get a measure on the <br /> State ballot that restricts what cities can do in relation to <br /> mobilehome parks. He submitted a letter regarding the proposed <br /> legislation and said it will take authority away from cities. <br /> B. Lavern Anderson, 1495 - 159th Avenue, said there will be a Valentine's <br /> Day Dance on February 11 , 1994, at 8:00 p.m. at the Hope Lutheran <br /> Church. <br /> C. Garry Loeffler, 235 Begier Avenue, Principal of Garfield School , <br /> commended the City Council for approval of the 4-way stop signs at <br /> Marina and Aurora. He said this has been a 10-year concern of parents <br /> and staff at Garfield and thanked the Council for their action. <br /> D. Scott Grubbs, 13475 Bancroft Avenue, #302, said the Galbraith Golf <br /> Course will be closed and dredge spoils will be placed on the course. <br /> He said the City should work with Galbraith to encourage golfers to use <br /> the San Leandro Golf Courses. City Manager Mike Oliver said San <br /> Leandro is working with the Port of Oakland to encourage golfers from <br /> Galbraith to come to San Leandro and will be working on programs for <br /> reciprocity, etc. <br />
