MINUTES <br /> SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> FEBRUARY 22, 1994 <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro met in Regular Session in the City <br /> Council Chambers of the City Hall on the above date at 8:00 p.m. , Mayor Faria <br /> presiding. <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br /> 3. ROLL CALL <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Corbett, Kerr, Myers, Nahm, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Faria <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 4. PRESENTATIONS <br /> None <br /> 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per person. <br /> A. James Driver, Ashland Area, said the only items on the Redevelopment <br /> Agency' s last few Agendas had been approval of the previous meeting's <br /> Minutes and Public Comments. He asked if any actions had been taken <br /> that affected flows of cash, etc. , or if staff had taken actions. <br /> Mike Oliver, City Manager, said no specific actions had been taken, <br /> that the City is in the process of hiring a Redevelopment Coordinator <br /> within the next six weeks, and then the program will begin to be put <br /> together. He said Mr. Driver was welcome to call June Catalano, the <br /> Development Services Director, every couple of weeks for an update. <br /> B. Scott Grubbs, 13475 Bancroft Avenue, spoke regarding the Davis West <br /> Improvement District Program. He noted that most of the trees in the <br /> area are 30-40 years old with mature trunks that are growing at a slow <br /> rate. He suggested the City try to save the trees because mature trees <br /> increase property values. <br /> C. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, asked questions regarding the Non- <br /> Disposal Facility Element. He spoke regarding comments he made at the <br /> February 7, City Council Meeting. He asked if Mr. Anderson lived in <br /> the Oro Loma District area or the San Leandro service area. He said AB <br /> 939 will include furnaces. <br />
