Curbside Recycling and Green Waste Pick-Up Programs for the City <br /> Service Area. <br /> 8:00 P.M. REGULAR MEETING -- City Council Chambers <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br /> 3. ROLL CALL <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Galvan, Kerr, Loeffler, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Corbett <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 4. PRESENTATIONS <br /> A. Certificates of Commendation to San Leandro Student Participants in the <br /> Special Project Program for the Eden Area ROP Summer Youth Employment <br /> Training Program -- Mark Carrasco and Matthew Aho. <br /> Mayor Corbett presented the Commendations to Mark Carrasco and Matthew <br /> Aho as a token of appreciation for their support of the community and <br /> all of their hard work and outstanding service. <br /> Ed Noonen, Eden Area ROP Summer Youth Employment Training Program, said <br /> these projects provide jobs and work experience for low-income and <br /> special -education students in our area. He said the students performed <br /> a variety of jobs for the City, including graffiti removal and working <br /> at the Library and in the Finance Department. He thanked the City <br /> staff for their work with and consideration of the students. <br /> B. Proclamation Declaring October 22, 1994, "Make a Difference Day" in San <br /> Leandro. <br /> Mayor Corbett presented a Proclamation to Rose Johnson, Davis Street <br /> Community Center. The Mayor said the people of San Leandro have a rich <br /> tradition of helping those in need. She read the Proclamation, which <br /> describes some of the items which the Center could use. <br />
