MINUTES
SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL MEETING
APRIL 16, 1992
The City Council of the City of San Leandro met in an adjourned session in the
City Council Chamber of the City Hall on the above date at 7:00 p.m. , Mayor Karp
presiding.
1. CALL TO ORDER
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
3. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos;
Mayor Karp
ABSENT: None
4. PRESENTATIONS
None
5. PUBLIC COMMENTS
A. Jeff Houston, 1465 Burkhart Avenue, referred to the Memorandum of
Understanding Between the Port of Oakland, Citation Homes, and the
City. He asked that the Agreement include a supplemental disclosure so
each seller of property must disclose the proximity of the airport.
Steve Meyers, City Attorney, said this Agreement calls for the
preparation of a formal agreement, and how it will be carried out is
subject to discussion. He quoted the last paragraph of Section 3.7,
related to disclosure and cooperation. He said it may be somewhat
premature at this time to come up with specific language for
disclosure.
Mayor Karp said disclosure, as requested by Mr. Houston, would be
covered in the final agreement.
Mr. Houston said he would like to see the wording be more specific now,
and the disclosure of the proximity of the airport should be made every
time property is sold.
Mr. Meyers said this is a preliminary document and these types of
things will be included in the final agreement.
Mr. Houston said he did not feel one could be sure this would happen.
