f <br /> ;` <br /> San Leandro, California, April 17, 1990 <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro met in special session in the City <br /> Council Chamber of the City Hall on the above date at 6:30 p.m. The meeting <br /> was opened with the pledge of allegiance to the flag of our country, Mayor Karp <br /> presiding. <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Faria, Glaze, Jardin, Perry, Santos, Suchman; <br /> Mayor Karp <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> RESOLUTIONS: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 90-69 (1055) <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULTS OF <br /> GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD <br /> TUESDAY, APRIL 10, 1990 <br /> Introduced by Council Member Jardin who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Suchman and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Faria, Glaze, Jardin, Perry, Santos, Suchman; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> SWEARING-IN CEREMONIES: <br /> Mayor Karp introduced Judge Robert Kurtz, the Presiding Judge of the Hayward- <br /> San Leandro Municipal Court, who conducted the swearing-in ceremonies. <br /> BOARD OF EDUCATION: <br /> Judge Kurtz swore in the Board of Education Members, Marian Wilson, Member for <br /> Trustee Area 2; Wayne Jeffries, Member for Trustee Area 4; Glenda Nardine, Member <br /> for Trustee Area 6. Judge Kurtz also presented each of the School Board Members <br /> with a Certificate of Election. <br /> Mayor Karp introduced members of the audience, including Alameda County <br /> Supervisor Charles Santana; former San Leandro City Council Member, Lathon <br /> Landis; and former San Leandro Mayor, Val Gill . <br /> The Mayor then called a 10-minute recess. The meeting then reconvened. <br /> Mayor Karp introduced San Leandro School District Trustee, Janet Plankenhorn, <br /> and San Leandro School District Superintendent, Richard Tubbs. <br /> CITY COUNCIL AND MAYOR: <br /> Judge Kurtz swore in the City Council Members: Council Member for District 1 , <br /> John E. Faria; Council Member for District 3, Julian P. Polvorosa; and Council <br /> Member for District 5, Ellen M. Corbett. <br />
