San Leandro, California, September 4, 1990 <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro met in regular session in the City <br /> Council Chamber of the City Hall on the above date at 8:00 p.m. The meeting <br /> was opened with the pledge of allegiance to the flag of our country, Mayor Karp <br /> presiding. <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> MINUTES <br /> The minutes of the meeting of August 20, 1990 were approved as submitted. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> a. Letters Opposing Development of Fairmont Ridge were noted: <br /> - Louis Andrade, 842 Hampton Road, Hayward. <br /> - Ernestine S. Cohn, 1773 - 139th Avenue, San Leandro. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS FROM BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> a. Letter from the Planning Commission Stating that the Purchase of Real <br /> Property at 1234 Orchard Avenue Is in Conformance with the City' s General <br /> Plan and Recommending that the City Council Approve Purchase of the Property <br /> for the Thrasher Park Master Plan. <br /> On motion of Council Member Faria, seconded by Council Member Santos and <br /> carried unanimously, the City Council approved purchase of the property. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> a. Matter of Vacating a Public Right-of-Way, Two Portions of a Restricted Access <br /> Easement, Westerly Side of Myers Court. <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, <br /> 1 Bill Silva, City Engineer, said the Public Hearing was to vacate access <br /> rights across an easement that was part of an old subdivision map. He said <br /> the old parcels are to be re-subdivided and the person who owns the old <br /> access rights has given them up; the City is also releasing its access <br /> rights. <br /> The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> There being no comments from the public, on motion of Council Member Perry, <br /> seconded by Council Member Polvorosa and carried unanimously, the Public <br /> Hearing was closed. <br />
