San Leandro, California, September 4, 1990 The City Council of the City of San Leandro met in regular session in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall on the above date at 8:00 p.m. The meeting was opened with the pledge of allegiance to the flag of our country, Mayor Karp presiding. PRESENT: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; Mayor Karp ABSENT: None MINUTES The minutes of the meeting of August 20, 1990 were approved as submitted. CORRESPONDENCE a. Letters Opposing Development of Fairmont Ridge were noted: - Louis Andrade, 842 Hampton Road, Hayward. - Ernestine S. Cohn, 1773 - 139th Avenue, San Leandro. COMMUNICATIONS FROM BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS a. Letter from the Planning Commission Stating that the Purchase of Real Property at 1234 Orchard Avenue Is in Conformance with the City' s General Plan and Recommending that the City Council Approve Purchase of the Property for the Thrasher Park Master Plan. On motion of Council Member Faria, seconded by Council Member Santos and carried unanimously, the City Council approved purchase of the property. PUBLIC HEARINGS a. Matter of Vacating a Public Right-of-Way, Two Portions of a Restricted Access Easement, Westerly Side of Myers Court. This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, 1 Bill Silva, City Engineer, said the Public Hearing was to vacate access rights across an easement that was part of an old subdivision map. He said the old parcels are to be re-subdivided and the person who owns the old access rights has given them up; the City is also releasing its access rights. The Hearing was then opened to the public. There being no comments from the public, on motion of Council Member Perry, seconded by Council Member Polvorosa and carried unanimously, the Public Hearing was closed.
