I <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, <br /> THE ALAMEDA COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT, <br /> AND <br /> THE SAN LEANDRO MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION <br /> This agreement is dated for identification this 1st day of July 1995, is entered (� <br /> into between the City of San Leandro, a municipal corporation ("City"), the Alameda <br /> County Fire Department("ACFD"), and the San Leandro Management Organization, <br /> an unincorporated association ("SLMO"). <br /> Recitals <br /> A. City currently provides fire suppression, emergency medical response and <br /> related services ("fire services") to the residents of the City of San Leandro, through <br /> the San Leandro Fire Department. <br /> B. City currently employs three employees in the classifications of Deputy Fire <br /> Chief and Battalion Chief. All references herein to "Fire Employees" shall mean <br /> those employees of the City in such classifications on the date preceding the effective <br /> date of the Master Agreement who become employees of the ACFD on such date. <br /> C. City has recognized the SLMO as the recognized employee association for the <br /> Fire Employees. City and SLMO are parties to a Memorandum of Understanding <br /> ("City MOU"). <br /> D. City and ACFD are parties to an agreement entitled "Fire Protection and <br /> Emergency Medical Services Agreement" ("Master Agreement") entered into on <br /> July 1, 1995. <br /> E. Pursuant to the Master Agreement, ACFD shall provide fire services to <br /> residents of City commencing on July 1, 1995 ("effective date"), and ACFD shall offer <br /> employment to Fire Employees as of said date. ACFD's agreement to provide fire <br /> services and to employ the Fire Employees may be referenced as the "consolidation." <br /> F. ACFD is party to a memorandum of understanding with Alameda County <br /> Firefighter's Association, Local 1428 (Management), for the period January 1, 1994 <br /> through December 31, 1995 ("County MOU"). <br /> G. City and SLMO have met and conferred in good faith regarding the <br /> consolidation. It is understood that this agreement represents the full, complete and <br /> final understanding of the City and SLMO on all matters relating to the consolidation <br /> which fall within the scope of representation. <br /> 1 <br />
