• <br /> IN THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2000 - 10 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN LEANDRO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN LEANDRO APPROVING AN <br /> OWNER PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH FORD LEASING DEVELOPMENT <br /> COMPANY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROPERTY AT <br /> 1111 MARINA BOULEVARD <br /> (APN 77A-0648-023-01) <br /> RECITALS <br /> 1. The Redevelopment Agency desires to alleviate blight in the Redevelopment Area <br /> by encouraging land uses that are compatible with existing retail and industrial uses and <br /> consistent with the Joint County of Alameda/City of San Leandro Redevelopment Plan. <br /> 2. Ford Leasing Development Company ("Owner") is a party to a purchase and sale <br /> agreement to acquire the property at 1111 Marina Boulevard and develop it into a Ford <br /> automobile dealership. <br /> 3. The Agency and the Owner have negotiated an Owner Participation Agreement <br /> whereby Owner will construct a Ford dealership building and the building will be used by a new <br /> Ford dealership in San Leandro that will replace the existing Ed Chovanes Ford Dealership on <br /> East 14th Street in San Leandro. <br /> 4. The Agency finds and declares that the Owner Participation Agreement will assist <br /> in alleviating and preventing the spread of blight in the Project Area, by adding another <br /> dealership to the existing San Leandro auto mall,by keeping a Ford dealership in the City of San <br /> Leandro, by providing additional retail development and additional jobs in the Project Area and <br /> by permitting the property to be developed in a manner compatible and consistent with the <br /> existing Implementation Plan and Redevelopment Plan. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro hereby <br /> approves the Owner Participation Agreement to develop the property at 1111 Marina Boulevard, <br /> San Leandro, California with a new car dealership and directs the Executive Director to execute <br /> the Owner Participation Agreement and any and all other documents necessary to implement the <br /> terms and conditions thereof <br /> 1 <br />
