IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017-007 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND <br />APPROVE INDIVIDUAL AND CUMULATIVE CHANGE ORDERS UP TO 10% <br />($51,788) OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT WITH CENTURY CARPET <br />FOR THE MAIN LIBRARY CARPET REPLACEMENT; PROJECT NO. 2014.0370 <br />The City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro did, on November 7, 2016, award a construction <br />contract to Century Carpet for the Main Library Carpet Replacement Project for $517,885; and <br />WHEREAS, the cost to complete the work will exceed the originally approved contract <br />amount; and <br />WHEREAS, the project budget is sufficient to accommodate the increased cost. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />The City Manager is authorized to negotiate and approve individual and cumulative change <br />orders up to 10% ($51,788) of the original contract amount with Century Carpet for the Main <br />Library Carpet Replacement, Project No. 2014.0370. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Cox, seconded by Councilmember Lee, passed and <br />adopted this 17th day of January 2017, by the following vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Ballew, Cox, Hernandez, Lee, Lopez, Thomas (6) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Mayor Cutter (1) <br />ATTEST: , ), &4::�' <br />T ika nwood, City Clerk <br />RESOLUTION NO.2017-007 <br />
