Mr. Kay returned to his Assistant City <br />Manager position on June 5, until July 10, 2018. <br />Upon the separation of City Manager Chris Zapata, the City Council desires to re-employ Jeff <br />Kay as the Interim City Manager, to fulfill all of the duties of the City Manager as required by the <br />Charter and Municipal Code. Effective July 11, 2018, the City desires to reestablish the terms of <br />the Interim City Manager employment agreement that was previously in effect. <br />The agreement will pay Mr. Kay a salary 15% above his current step as Assistant City Manager <br />as shown in the City Council adopted salary schedule for the San Leandro Management <br />Organization; his new salary will be $20,364 per month. <br />Previous Actions <br />·Resolution 2018-015 <br />PREPARED BY: Emily Hung, Human Resources Manager and Richard D.
