City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: October 19, 2020 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:20-477 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number:8.H. <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />City Manager <br />BY:City Council <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Not Applicable <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council Appointing a <br />Replacement Representative to the Community Advisory Budget Task Force to <br />Succeed Another Task Force Member Who Resigned <br />Whereas, on September 28, 2020, the City Council of the City of San Leandro appointed <br />28 members of the public to serve on the Community Advisory Budget Task Force; and <br />Whereas, shortly after making those appointments, the City Council Member from District <br />2 was informed that one of his appointees (Mr. Tony Smith) was no longer able to serve on the <br />Task Force and would need to resign from the Task Force; and <br />Whereas, as of the date of this Resolution, the Task Force has only just commenced <br />meeting and so there is still sufficient time for a replacement appointee to take the place of their <br />predecessor on the Task Force; and <br />Whereas, the City Council Member representing District 2 seeks to nominate Mr. Robert <br />Bailey (who is a resident of District 5) as an at-large replacement appointee to the Task Force. <br />Now therefore, the City Council of the City of San Leandro RESOLVES as follows: <br />That Mr. Robert Bailey is hereby appointed to serve as a member of the 28-person <br />Community Advisory Budget Task Force, as the successor for the position formerly held by Mr. <br />Tony Smith. <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 10/14/2020 <br />121
