City of San Leandro
Meeting Date: January 18, 2022
Staff Report
Agenda Section:File Number:22-013 CONSENT CALENDAR
Agenda Number:9.I.
TO:City Council
FROM:Fran Robustelli
City Manager
BY:Debbie Pollart
Public Works Director
FINANCE REVIEW:Susan Hsieh
Finance Director
TITLE:Staff Report for a Resolution of the City of San Leandro City Council Approving
and Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Consultant Services Agreement
with CSG Consultants, Inc. for Scoreboard Design Services in an Amount
Not-to-Exceed $62,446
SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff Recommends that the City Council approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a
consulting services agreement with CSG Consultants, Inc. (CSG) that provides structural and
electrical design services for scoreboard replacements at three City parks.
Staff recommends the following actions:
·Approve a consulting services agreement with CSG for a not-to-exceed amount of
$62,446
BACKGROUND
The City of San Leandro has four electronic scoreboards at three park facilities: San Leandro
Ball Park, Stenzel Park, and Thrasher Park. The electronic scoreboards are past the end of their
useful lives, are outdated, and are in disrepair. City staff, in conjunction with a contract electrician,
attempted to make necessary repairs to the units to keep them functional for the 2021 ball
season, but parts are no longer available, and the units are not fully functional for the 2022
season.
CSG currently provides design services for City facility and park maintenance and repair projects
including the scoreboard replacement project. The project requires additional structural and
electrical design services that are outside the scope of their existing contract.
Analysis
Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 1/14/2022
151
