<br />MINUTES Page 7 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-March 7, 2005 <br /> <br />the use of heavy equipment, diesel fuel, etc., as well as the future use of liquid <br />chemicals related to water treatment. <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos inquired about possible increases in traffic mentioned in Section <br />XV. He noted that there have been complaints about truck traffic at the intersection of <br />Neptune Drive and Monarch Bay Drive. Councilmember Santos asked if a speed limit <br />of 15 mph could be imposed on the vehicles working on this project. <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos commented on EBMUD's Bayside Groundwater Project, noting <br />that many San Leandro residents in Marina Vista and Heron Bay have expressed serious <br />concerns regarding the project. He expressed hope that since EBMUD is seeking the <br />City's cooperation on the Recycled Water Project, it would extend the same courtesy on <br />the Bayside Groundwater Project and work with City staff to find ways to alleviate <br />residents' concerns about the project. <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos made a motion to adopt the resolution. Councilmember <br />Nardine requested that the motion include direction to staff to provide a final version of <br />the Facilities Planning Report to EBMUD. Councilmember Santos accepted the <br />amendment to the motion. <br /> <br />. Resolution No. 2005-020, Resolution Adopting the Mitigated Negative <br />Declaration for the San Leandro Recycled Water Project as Complete and in <br />Compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
