<br />MINUTES Page 8 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-October 3, 2005 <br /> <br />were eliminated. Councilmember Starosciak pointed to the recent Bancroft Middle <br />School grant as a good example of City-School District cooperation, and having a <br />School District representative on the commission ensures some cohesiveness and <br />regular communication on the commission level. <br /> <br />Mayor Young commented that the City and School District joint ventures are largely <br />attributable to the memoranda of understanding signed by the 17 elected officials from <br />the City and School Districts in which they pledged to work together on joint use <br />projects. She added that there is already representation on the commission by the <br />members who live within the School District boundaries. <br /> <br />. Minute Order No. 2005-044, Motion to Provide Direction to Staff Regarding <br />Desired Changes to the Existing Policy and Ordinance. (1020/1507) <br /> <br />The City Council directed staff to draft an ordinance to change the <br />representation of the Recreation and Parks Commission to a nine-member <br />commission with a member nominated from each of the six Council Member <br />Districts and three members nominated at-large by the Mayor. <br /> <br />M/S/C Santos and Badger.
