Ms. Pollart noted that there are several <br />other commercial uses in the CD Zoning District which are allowable for Mr. Begier's <br />property. <br /> <br />. Ordinance No. 2005-021, an Ordinance Amending Article 6, Section 2-608 of <br />the San Leandro Zoning Code Regarding Permitted Uses, Conditionally Permitted <br />Uses, and Uses Requiring Administrative Review for the Commercial Downtown <br />Zoning District. The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest NOT <br />listed on the Agenda. <br /> <br />(This item was taken prior to the Council's action on Public Hearing Item 3.B.) <br /> <br />Dan Henriques, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council regarding hate crimes <br />and free speech. Mr. Henriques provided an anti-hate flyer to the Council which he designed. <br /> <br />Francois Gallo, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council regarding the Ditching <br />Dirty Diesel Collaborative, a region-wide collaborative of organizations interested in reducing <br />diesel pollution. He commented regarding the health hazards of diesel emissions. <br /> <br />Wafaa Aborashed, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council regarding the "Don't <br />Sit Idle" campaign, sponsored by the Ditching Dirty Diesel Collaborative. She spoke <br />regarding the health problems related to diesel emissions from trucks and buses and the need <br />to educate diesel vehicle drivers. She provided materials to the Council about the campaign. <br /> <br />
