<br />MINUTES Page 5 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting~November 21, 2005 <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on items in <br />the draft minutes ofthe November 7, 2005 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />Regarding the request by Mr. Davis for a raised landscaped traffic circle at Doolittle and <br />Belvedere, Mr. Jermanis suggested that the Council refer the matter to its Facilities <br />Committee. <br /> <br />7. AMENDMENT OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />City Councilmembers or staff have an opportunity at this time to request that an item be <br />removed from the Consent Calendar for the presentation of a staff report or other special <br />consideration. Mernbers of the Public may request the opportunity to address the City <br />Council regarding items remaining on the Consent Calendar by filling out a speaker card and <br />submitting it to the City Clerk prior to the calling of Item 7, Amendment of Consent <br />Calendar. !terns remaining on the Consent Calendar will be considered for approval under <br />one motion. <br /> <br />Public Comments on Consent Calendar Items S.B. and 8.C.: <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting that he is <br />forced to speak on items prior to hearing the Council's discussion on the items and this <br />defeats the purpose of public participation. Mr. Filipovich commented that he did not recall <br />the level of public participation on the ordinance proposed for adoption. He stated that while <br />he has no problem with increased compensation for those employees represented by the <br />SLPOA, some taxpayers without earned income have not had an increase in their income for <br />25 to 30 years. <br /> <br />End of Public Comments on the Consent Calendar <br /> <br />No amendment to Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council <br />may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of presentation or discussion. <br />Mernbers of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining <br />on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes per item with a maximum of 5 <br />minutes for all items. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by <br />title. <br /> <br />The items on the Consent Calendar were approved by the following vote: <br /> <br />M/S/C Badger and Grant.
