(1485/3085) <br /> <br />M/S/C Grant and Santos. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Nardine) <br /> <br /> <br />10. ACTION ITEMS <br /> <br />Public comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker per item, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 2006-046 <br />A., Resolution Approving Modified Alternative #4 as a New <br />Roadway Configuration Plan Along East 14th Street Between Davis Street and Durant <br />Avenue (provides for increased pedestrian safety and side street access on East 14th <br />Street between Davis Street and Durant Avenue). Cost: $199,200. Funding: Capital <br />Improvement Program (CIP) funds. (2584) <br /> <br />Engineering and Transportation Director Uche Udemezue responded to questions <br />about the project from the Council. On behalf of himself and his staff, Mr. Udemezue <br />thanked Councilmember Stephens for facilitating community discussion and input on <br />this project. <br /> <br />M/S/C Stephens and Santos. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Nardine) <br /> <br /> <br />B.Matter of Discussion Regarding the Draft Market Assessment Report Related to the <br />Downtown Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Strategy and Field Trip of May 20 <br />(provides comments on the Market Assessment Report to the Downtown TOD <br />Strategy Citizen Advisory Committee and consultants and information concerning the <br />field <br />trip). (3076) <br /> <br />Community Development Director Hanson Hom provided a brief background on the <br />project and introduced Planner III Kathleen Livermore. Ms. Livermore gave a <br />PowerPoint presentation providing details on the Draft Market Assessment Report for <br />the Downtown TOD Strategy and the May 20 field trip to other cities’ downtowns <br />and TODs. <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos commented that many similar studies have already been <br />performed, and the City could save money by updating an existing report.
