Presentation of Water Quality Excellence Award for Heroic Multimedia Pollution <br />Prevention from California Regional Water Quality Control Board, San Francisco Bay <br />Region. <br /> <br />Public Works Services Director Mike Bakaldin presented the award to the Council <br />which he received on behalf of the City for implementing an extensive and multi- <br />faceted pollution prevention program. <br /> <br />E. Presentation of Critical Peak Pricing Participant Award from Pacific Gas and Electric <br />Company (PG&E). <br /> <br />Public Works Services Director Mike Bakaldin presented the award to the Council <br />which he received on behalf of the City for energy savings by the Water Pollution <br />Control Plant. As a large energy user, the City's Water Pollution Control Plant <br />participated in the Critical Peak Pricing Program in 2004 and found ways to <br />significantly reduce its energy usage. <br /> <br />Mayor Young pointed out that the staff of the Public Works Services Department are <br />the true recipients of the two awards. She commented that the work performed by <br />Public Works, while not high-profile, is nevertheless crucial to the operations of the <br />City and is greatly appreciated. <br /> <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor.
