<br />MINUTES Page 4 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-April 17, 2006 <br /> <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting <br />regarding a 2005 appeal of a BZA decision and the fee required to file an appeal. <br /> <br />There being no further comments from the public, and without objection, the Public <br />Hearing was closed. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Badger suggested that since this project is in District 2, the matter be <br />continued to a date when Councilmember Grant can be present. <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak asked whether Councilmember Grant would be able to <br />participate in this matter. City Manager Jermanis indicated that Councilmember Grant's <br />residence is outside the 500-foot radius of the project, and therefore she can participate <br />in the decision. <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos stated he has no objection to this project, noting the project <br />would generate revenue and is conditionally zoned for the area. <br /> <br />Councilmember Nardine requested that the letter from the condominium owner at <br />14835 East 14th Street which was distributed to the Council this evening be included in <br />the informational materials when the matter is rescheduled. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Badger commented that he favors an owner participation agreement to <br />ensure the future development of the site conforms to the East 14th Street South Area <br />Strategy. <br /> <br />Minute Order No. 2006-031, Motion to Continue the Matter of the Appeal by Richard <br />Larson, Applicant, of the Decision of the Board of Zoning Adjustments' Denial of <br />PLN2005-00l24; Conditional Use Permit; to operate a used car dealership at 14833 <br />East 14th Street, where vehicle/heavy equipment dealers, used, is conditionally <br />permitted in the SA-3 South Area District; Assessor's Parcel Number 77D-1475-14; <br />The Barbara Mathews Brooks Separate Property Trust (Property Owner); SA-3 South <br />Area District to May 15, 2006.
