At that meeting, we were told by Mr. Horn that the comissioners had voted on
the Langan project, and passed it, so we could not again ask to have the houses
rearranged on the lot. We believe the repositioning of the houses on the lot is essential
to achieve a view we can live ,",ith and that does not drastically lower our property
1
vaiues.

1-yIT Horn said we should have some proposals for our other concerns over the
project. He said we could start with trellises over the back yalds of homes near our
building. TIlis, he said, would benefit residents on the second and trJrd floors. We failed
tu see huw this wuuld benefit our humeowners, but we went alung Vvith it.
The second proposal was made by a Garden Terrace homeowner. He believed
the new homes should have a Home Owllers Association. This would give us a stronger
position for complaints against home owners. Vie all agreed.
The third Pmpusal, alsu made by a Garden Terrac;;; humeowner, suggested the
contractor pressure clean our building and wash our ,",indows, when the construction is
completed.
1-v'IT Horn said we could propose that any new houses, near our property line,
have a twelve fuut set back rather than ten.
The fifth proposal, made by a Garden Terrace homeovvner, suggested that the
---erflo~H pa-k:nrr b- nlOV--...l fro-- "'he lll__... sl'd- "'0 t1.- -11'd...ll- of ...1._ lot "ir r -naon --:d
uv H I I e I;; I;;U III U VVI;;:Sl' I;; l III;; II UII;; UII;; I. This would be three houses on the north end and t"wo
houses on the \Vest end. If Mr. Langan says this plan is not possible. Perhaps we
shuuld consult our uwn architect to see what is possible.
Lester \Villiams and Kathy Goodall looked up information on Plarullng ai"ld 2m-Jng
in San Leandro. After reading this information, we feel the rights of Garden Terrace
owners were trainpled on, and there was gross negligence on the part of the PlanrJng
Comm ission in passing the Langon Project.
