<br />The City designates the City Manager, or his/her designated <br />representative, to represent the City in all matters pertaining to the <br />administration of this Agreement. <br /> <br />The City and AFCD will formally notify one another prior to a service <br />delivery change and/or material budget modification. Said notification shall <br />provide adequate time for comment, concerns and agreement on the <br />changes and modifications. <br /> <br />2. Fire Chief Desiqnation <br /> <br />The Fire Chief is hereby designated by City as the City of San <br />Leandro Fire Chief and shall have and possess such authority as the San <br />Leandro Municipal Code and general laws provide for the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />3. Liaison to City <br /> <br />A. ACFD designates the Fire Chief as the direct liaison to the City <br />Manager. Liaison responsibilities shall include but are not limited to: <br /> <br />(i) Attendance by the Fire Chief or his designee at Staff, <br />Commission, or City Council meetings when requested by the <br />City Manager; and <br /> <br />(ii) Meetings with the City Manager as requested by either <br />the Fire Chief or City Manager to discuss budget, operational <br />or other issues, which may arise. <br /> <br />B. ACFD will promptly notify the City Manager of the following <br />events occurring within the City. <br /> <br />(i) Any fire in excess of two alarms; <br /> <br />(ii) Any fire fatality; <br /> <br />(iii) Major hazardous materials response; and <br /> <br />(iv) Serious response-related injury to any firefighter <br />responding to service within the City. <br /> <br />C. The ACFD Fire Marshal shall be responsible for the day-to-day <br />operation of the Fire Prevention Division in the City of San Leandro. <br />The Fire Marshal shall be responsible for attending all meetings <br /> <br />Agreement Regarding Fire and Emergency <br />Response Services ~ San Leandro/Alameda County <br /> <br />Page 12 of24 <br />
