<br />2. Maintenance <br /> <br />ACFD shall repair and maintain such apparatus and equipment to <br />appropriate and applicable fire service standards. ACFD shall maintain <br />complete maintenance and repair records on all major pieces of apparatus. <br />ACFD shall have no responsibility for maintaining insurance for such <br />apparatus and equipment. <br /> <br />3. Apparatus Replacement <br /> <br />ACFD shall submit a proposed apparatus replacement schedule to <br />City indicating the anticipated dates for replacement of major pieces of <br />apparatus. ACFD shall provide the City with sufficient advance notice <br />regarding the need to replace apparatus and equipment. <br /> <br />City shall bear all costs to replace apparatus and major equipment <br />and may create such reserves for depreciation as may be necessary and <br />prudent for replacement of apparatus and major equipment. <br /> <br />4. Annuallnventorv <br /> <br />ACFD shall assist the City in maintaining an annual inventory of City <br />apparatus and equipment. <br /> <br />5. Deletion or Addition of Apparatus and Equipment <br /> <br />Upon agreement between the Fire Chief and the City Manager, <br />individual pieces of apparatus and equipment specified in Exhibit 3 may be <br />deleted from the inventory available to ACFD for performance of services <br />under this Agreement or new apparatus and equipment may be added to <br />such inventory. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Agreement, <br />such modifications to this inventory shall not be considered an amendment to <br />this Agreement. <br /> <br />6. Return Upon Termination <br /> <br />Upon termination of this Agreement, ACFD will deliver to the City all <br />City owned equipment and apparatus forthwith in good and serviceable <br />condition. <br /> <br />Agreement Regarding Fire and Emergency <br />Response Services - San Leandro/Alameda County <br /> <br />Page 17 of24 <br />
