<br />Section 5. Cost of Services <br /> <br />a. Fire Budqet <br /> <br />1. Operatinq Budqet <br /> <br />For purposes of budgeting for the cost of services to be provided <br />hereunder, the Fire Chief shall prepare and submit a budget for the <br />succeeding fiscal year to the City Manager in accordance with the City's <br />budget instructions and required deadlines. <br /> <br />2. Monitor Indirect Charqes <br /> <br />ACFD will evaluate the appropriateness of the County's indirect <br />charges and, where necessary, consult, on behalf of all entities contracting <br />with ACFD, with the County regarding indirect charges. <br /> <br />3. Consultation Re Chanqes to MOU <br /> <br />ACFD will consult with City regarding any changes to its existing <br />Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Alameda County Firefighters <br />Local 55A and 55B or any new MOU which applies to ACFD employees prior <br />to agreeing to such changes or new MOU. <br /> <br />4. Capital Requirements <br /> <br />The Fire Chief will also recommend any capital needs or modification <br />to services, which the City provides to directly support the provision of ACFD <br />contractual service. These recommendations shall be submitted along with <br />the contract fire budget. <br /> <br />5. City Adoption of Budqet <br /> <br />The fire budget, as modified by the City Manager as necessary, shall <br />be included in the City Manager's proposed annual budget and capital <br />improvement program. <br /> <br />The fire budget shall be reviewed, modified (if necessary) and <br />approved by the City Council at the same time and place as the City's Annual <br />Budget. <br /> <br />Agreement Regarding Fire and Emergency <br />Response Services - San Leandro/Alameda County <br /> <br />Page 18 of24 <br />
