<br />6. Manaaement of BudQet <br /> <br />In accordance with the expenditures authorized by the fire budget, the <br />Fire Chief shall be responsible for managing the fire budget to keep fire <br />expenditures within the amount budgeted. If during the year, the Fire Chief <br />believes that the approved fire budget is insufficient in any respect to insure <br />the provision of service at the service levels required by this Agreement, <br />he/she shall immediately inform the City Manager in writing specifying the <br />budgetary deficiency. <br /> <br />7. Form of Budqet <br /> <br />The budget shall be submitted to the City Manager in the form <br />identified in Exhibit 4. <br /> <br />b. Payment for Services <br /> <br />1. City Payment <br /> <br />The City shall pay ACFD the actual cost incurred by ACFD for <br />providing services under this Agreement, which may be more or less than the <br />amount included within the budget. <br /> <br />2. Quarterly Expenditure Report <br /> <br />No later than 45 days following the end of each quarter, ACFD shall <br />deliver to City a report setting forth the actual expenditures during the <br />preceding quarter and the percentage of the budget, which such <br />expenditures represent. <br /> <br />3. Method of Billina and Payment <br /> <br />City may utilize one of two payment options. <br /> <br />Option 1: Pay ACFD quarterly within 30 days of receipt of the <br />quarterly expense report. City shall pay ACFD for its actual costs <br />including costs, which are in excess of the budgeted amount, within <br />thirty (30) days of receipt of the quarterly expense report and any <br />requested reconciliation statements. <br /> <br />If such quarterly payments are not received by ACFD within thirty (30) <br />days after the receipt of the quarterly expense statement and/or <br />reconciliation statement, ACFD shall recover interest thereon.
