Mayor Young expressed agreement with Vice Mayor Grant that it would be inappropriate for the Council to consider the policy statement along with the decision on this matter. She suggested the policy statement be referred back to staff for further analysis and then brought back to the Councilor to the BZA at a later date. Vice Mayor Grant commented that her suggestion to refer the matter back to the BZA was based on the fact that the BZA has historically made recommendations to the Council on these types ofprojects. . Ayes: 6; Noes: 1 (Nardine) Mayor Young asked if the Council waS interested in having staff bring the subject of "monster houses" to the Councilor the BZA at the same time the matter of condominium conversions in the RO District is discussed. There was consensus of the Council to do so. Councilmember Nardine commented that she did not feel this project was identical to other projects that were approved. She pointed out that this was the only project that was appealed. The City Council recessed from 8:17 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Mayor Young noted that during the break, Councilmember Nardine had to leave the meeting due to an emergency. 4.
