Mr. Jermanis noted that the City would prefer to enter into a longer rather than a shorter term agreement, since it would commit the developer to certain obligations. He indicated that the Council and the community will have many opportunities for review and input before the Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA) is brought to the Council for consideration. Ms. Williams commented that the MOU will not commit the City to any of the terms in the DDA, but it will commit Kaiser to enter into a DDA with the City. She noted that the DDA will allow the City to negotiate certain benefits that it would not normally be able to receive, and she views it as quite advantageous to the City. S.E. Resolution No. 2006-109, Resolution Approving Contractual Services Agreement Between the City of San Leandro and EIP Associates, a Division of Post, Buckley, Schuh & Jernigan, Inc. (PBS&J), Related to Preparing the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center and Retail Development in San Leandro (provides for preparation of an EIR for the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center and Retail Development at the former Albertsons distribution center).
