WEST SAN LEANDRO SHUTTLE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT ANNUAL REPORT FY 2006-07 $266,666. Since the LIFT grant from MTC was provided to fund transportation for DSFRC clients, the SL TMO expanded the LINKS route in January 2005 to include the DSFRC, located on Teagarden Street. The change in the service route to include DSFRC required the original BID to be re-formed to include additional businesses that lie within one-quarter mile of the expanded service area. The LINKS continued to see healthy ridership during Fiscal Year 2005-06 with total boardings exceeding 173 ,000. Average monthly boardings for the Fiscal Year 2005-06 was 14,459 with a high of 16,307 in March of 2006. The specific impact of the route change to include the DSFRC continues to be seen in the dramatic and continued increase of average monthly ridership. A verage ridership from January 2004 to January 2005 (the inception date of the route change to include DSFCRC) increased 27% to 11,890 total boardings for January 2005, and then increased another 240/0 from January 2005 to January 2006 for a total of 14,782 total boardings (See Figure 1). A full ridership report, from the inception of the shuttle through July 2006, is included as Exhibit A to this report.
