<br />MINums Page 2 <br />City or San I,canJro City Council and San Leandro Rl:developl11l:nt Agency Joint Special Meeting -JANUARY 26, <br />2004 <br /> <br />Mayor Young introduccd Isobel Dvorsky, District 2 (San Leandro) Trustee fl)r the <br />Chabot-Las Positas Comlllunity College District, and Dr. Robert Carlson, President of <br />Chabot COl1l1nunity College. <br /> <br />Ms. Dvorsky requested the City Council's support Cor Measure B, the Chabot-Las <br />Positas Community College l'aeilities Bond Measure. Dr. Carlson distributed literature <br />to the Council on the bond measure and gave a shol1 presentation describing the repairs, <br />renovation and construction to be funded hy the proposed $498,000,000 bond issue. Dr. <br />Carlson noted the bond measure on the upcoming ballot is only the third ever proposed <br />by the College Dishict in its 45-year history and echoed Ms. Dvorsky's request for the <br />Council's support for Measure B. <br /> <br />It was the consensus ofthe City Counci I to refer the maUer of support for Measure B to <br />the City Council Rules and Communications Committee. <br /> <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Public Hearing Comments arc limited to 5 minutes per person, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the City Clerk so the order or speakers may be dctem1ined and an 011lcial record of names <br />and addresses obtained, <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />4. When you address the City Council, you <br />should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be <br />detem1ined and an ollicial record of names and addresses obtained, The public is invited to <br />make comments on items of public interest NOT listed on the Agenda. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council, commenting on bond <br />measures, the Oro Loma Sanitary District, the November 2004 election and the business <br />license tax. <br /> <br />Harold Perez, Davis West Nei~hborhood Group, addressed the City Council, requesting a <br />twlllc signal be installed at Timothy Dlivc/Westgate Parkway due to the heavy cross traffic. <br />
