Proposed Policy Regarding Bayside Business Park Tax increment (1009/1170/2963) Discussion ensued regarding the Outreach Progran1. Councilmembers noted the area residents are still not feeling a pmi of the process, so somehow the City needs to address their concerns and gain their input. Assistant City Manager Eel Schilling expressed concel11 that staft~ in working with the community prior to getting the Council's approval, may run the risk of "getting ahead of the Council." Mr. Schilling gave examples of situations in which staff anticipates working with community members to gain input. Council engaged in discussion with staff regarding Eden Road. Councilmember Santos gave a recap of his Town Hall Meeting on January 30. He listed other projects, such as the Walnut Drive infrastructure, improvements at Warden Park and Mu]('ord Park, and improved park I~lcilities at East Shore, which residents would like to see undertaken. Councilmember Santos noted thc area's concel11 with problems at the Transfer Station. He has had onc meeting so far with Waste Management, with another mceting scheduled later this month. Lou Filipovich, 15376 La Verne Drive, addressed the City Council regarding the tax incrcment, recounting events at the meeting and stating there will be no tax increment generated from the development. Mr. FiJipovich commented on the conduct of Town Hall meetings.
