<br />MINUTES Page 3 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-April 7, 2003 <br /> <br />scope of work on Cherry Grove Park from ADA improvements to design of the Cherry <br />Grove Park playground). (2972) <br /> <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, City Manager <br />Jermanis introduced Community Development Block Grant Manager Lynn Brown, who <br />gave information on the process and the five amendn1ents recommended for approval. <br /> <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> <br />Mike Rawlis, 964 Hutchings Drive, addressed the City Council, objecting to the closure <br />of parks while they are being remodeled. <br /> <br />There being no further cormnents frOln the public, and without objection, the Public <br />Hearing was closed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Badger clarified with staff that the tern1 "close" In reference to the <br />handicap ramp proj ect meant the proj ect would be discontinued. <br /> <br />. Resolution No. 2003-090, resolution Approving Amendments to the FY2002-2003 <br />Consolidated Action Plan to Delete from the Project List ADA Improvements to <br />Chabot and Halcyon Parks, to Close the Handicap Ramp Project, to Add Bonaire <br />Park Renovation and Memorial Park Design and to Change the Scope of Work on <br />Cherry Grove Park from ADA Improvements to Design of the Cherry Grove Park <br />Playground <br /> <br />M/S/C Glaze and Grant. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Stephens) <br /> <br />B. Matter of Ren10val of Poles, Overhead Wires, and Associated Overhead Structures from <br />Portions of East 14th Street and West Estudillo Avenue and Abutting Properties, <br />Including Intersecting Streets, and Amending the Existing Underground District on East <br />14th Street (establishes two underground utility districts [one each along East 14th Street <br />and West Estudillo Avenue] and amends the existing underground utility district on East <br />14th Street from the southern City limits to 153rd Avenue). (2874/2979/2980) <br /> <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, City Manager <br />Jermanis introduced Engineering and Transportation Director Uche Udemezue, who <br />described the proposed project areas and scope. <br /> <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> <br />Mike Rawlis, 964 Hutchings Drive, addressed the City Council, expressing concern <br />regarding the disruption to property owners during the installation and repair of <br />underground utility lines. <br /> <br />There being no further comments fron1 the public, and without objection, the Public <br />Hearing was closed. <br />
