(2603) <br /> <br />The City Council made a motion to establish a Reserve and separate expense <br />account for Anti-Violence Programs, along with the allocation of $74,000 in <br />fiscal year 2003-04 to fund programs which directly address anti-violence or <br />violence prevention. <br /> <br />M/S/C Grant and Nardine. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br />10. ACTION ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Presentation of Proposed Fiscal Year 2003-04 Budget. <br /> <br />(l 051) <br /> <br />By consensus of the Council, item was deferred to the Work Session of June 9, <br />2003. <br /> <br />B. Report on Closed Session actions taken. <br /> <br />1. Information on Settlement of Pacific Construction v. City of San Leandro, and <br />Related Cross-Complaints, Alameda County Superior Court, Case No. 849849-6. <br /> <br />City Attorney Jayne Williams reported the successful settlement of the above <br />matter within the parameters of the authority given by the Council on April 21, <br />2003. The litigation arose out of a dispute involving work on the library <br />construction. As part of the settlement, the City will receive a contribution to the <br />San Leandro Public Library Foundation in the amount of $30,000. <br /> <br />11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />Councilmelnber Badger reported the AC Transit Policy Advisory Committee, on which <br />he and the Mayor participate, Inet last week. The budget constraints experienced by AC <br />Transit have resulted in service cutbacks to routes with low ridership, including the loss <br />of the 81 Shuttle from the Marina Community Center to the library. Councilmember <br />Badger noted service to the library, community center, Fargo Senior Center, Davis <br />Street Family Resource Center and Eden Lodge were retained. Mayor Young noted all <br />the stops covered by the 81 Shuttle will be covered by other bus lines. <br />
