Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />Recommendation for City Council Consideration: <br /> <br />a. Schedule for Council consideration the approval of a one-year extension of <br />the contract for audit services with Caporicci and Larson for the fiscal year <br />ended 2003-04 at a cost not to exceed $48,490. <br /> <br />By the consensus of the Council, this item will be placed on a future <br />Council agenda for approval. <br /> <br />5. Human Relations Committee Meeting of September 11, 2003. Accepted as <br />submitted. <br /> <br />6. Rules and Communications Committee Meeting of September 25, 2003. <br />Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />Recommendation for City Council Consideration: <br /> <br />a. That the City not implement a ribbon placement program, but instead <br />encourage individuals who wish to place yellow ribbons on their own <br />property. <br /> <br />In response to a question by Councilmember Santos, Councilmember <br />Badger stated the Committee did not intend for the City to actively promote <br />placement of yellow ribbons on private property. It was noted yellow <br />ribbons were put up at the Pelton Center over the past weekend. <br /> <br />By the consensus of the Council, a ribbon placement program will not <br />be implemented. <br /> <br />b. Dedication of a seat in the City Council Chambers in memory of Madge <br />Basuino, to be recognized with a small metal plate on the back of the chair. <br /> <br />By the consensus of the Council, it was agreed that staff will place a <br />metal plate on the arm of a chair in the Council Chambers in memory <br />of Madge Basuino. <br /> <br />c. Continue the use of present City Council agenda format. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council to do so. <br /> <br />By the consensus of the Council, discussion regarding the request from SBC <br />to consider a resolution regarding the telecommunications industry will be <br />placed on the agenda of November 2, 2003. <br />
