Mr. Udemezue noted many cities lease space to businesses in part to keep the <br />areas clean and maintained. Mr. Jermanis recalled the space under Fairway was leased <br />to a non-profit organization. <br /> <br />Mayor Young requested a current copy of the agreement, a copy of the letter from <br />Trans-Box and a list of the conditions. <br /> <br />M/S/C Santos and Badger. Resolution No. 2003-250, Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Enter into a <br />Cooperative Agreement between the City of San Leandro and East Bay Regional Park <br />District (EBRPD) to Construct the Bay Trail PedestrianlBicycle Bridge and Connecting <br />Trail and to Transfer Fill Material fronl the City's Dredged Material Management Site to <br />Oyster Bay Regional Park (provides for completion of construction of the Bay Trail <br />project and for EBRPD to allow the City to transfer suitable fill material to Oyster Bay <br />Regional Park). (2368) <br /> <br />Doug Siden, East Bay Regional Park (EBRP) Board of Directors, addressed the City <br />Council, expressing appreciation to City Manager J ermanis and staff for the fine <br />working relationship that has been developed. Mr. Siden introduced Michael Anderson, <br />Assistant General Manager for Planning, Stewardship, Design and Construction, who <br />led EBRP in working with the City on the Bay Trail. Mr. Siden noted that the <br />agreement addresses the "n1issing link" in the Bay Trail connecting San Leandro to <br />Oakland as well as the importation of dredged nlaterials from the San Leandro Marina <br />to the Oyster Bay Regional Park. Mr. Siden expressed appreciation to the City Council <br />for the fine working relationship with the City. <br /> <br />Mayor Young commented that she and the City Manager met with EBRPD and vvorked <br />out a mutually advantageous arrangement for the dredged spoils to help with the Oyster <br />Bay project. Mayor Young noted the Bicycle Bridge will also allow the City to <br />complete its Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Glaze remarked that the cooperative effort between the City and EBRPD to <br />manage the dredged spoils was a huge benefit to the City. <br /> <br />M/S/C Young and Badger.
